Diagnostic wax-ups or mock-ups are a great visual tool for patient presentation of possible restorative options that can be achieved, showing form, function and esthetics.
The wax-ups can be designed with a simple one coloured wax up technique to a full multi-coloured creative diagnostic wax-up with pink gingival wax for a life like appearance for patient presentation.
All diagnostic wax-ups can be duplicated so that other dental devices can be fabricated from the initial wax-up; these include implant stents, preparation guides and temporary splints.
